Tanya Kumar| 1. Major/Year: Law, Economics and Public Policy, minor in Human Rights, & Gender, Women and Sexuality Studies - Junior. 2.Why I chose to run: I chose to run as president, because I realized how much positive systemic change ASUWB can do, to better serve the students- I wanted to help advocate and brand ASUWB so that the student body knew how much we can do, to elevate their student life experience.
Cody Thorne| 1. Major/Year: Law, Economics, & Public Policy; Health Studies - Senior. 2. Why I chose to run: I joined because I want to serve the students needs relating to access to food, space utilization on campus, and college affordability. As VP, I assist the President in overseeing our ASUWB. Guiding and facilitating the work of our Senators. Sitting on 6 campus committees. And hearing the student voice at UWB matters, and advocating for this voice in discussions with administration.

Umar Shah| 1. Major/Year: Law and Psychology and I am a Junior. 2. Why I chose to run: I chose to run for ASUWB last year along with a few other students was because I felt that there needed to be a change in student representation on campus along with the fact that the student government needed to take a stronger stance about the voiced concern about bringing a Diversity Center for students.
Leah Shin| 1. Major/Year: Business Marketing, Informatics, and Entrepreneurship 2. Why I chose to run: As your First-Year Senator and Sophomore Senator this past year, I was able to witness and be a part of impactful change. However, it is my duty as your spokeswoman to not only continue to represent your voice but to do more and work harder to ensure that our movements will be completed to its best ability. I am here again, to represent your voice, your ideas, your concerns, and your wants.
Tai Yang| Major/Year: 1. Global Studies 2017 2. Why I chose to run?: Exercise and a nutritious diet are important components of a healthy lifestyle, and I believe strongly in stressing your athletic capabilities for its long-term aerobic benefits. Just kidding. I was appointed. I like politics.

Justin Han| 1. Major/Year: Media And Communication Studies & Senior Year. 2. Why I chose to run: I joined to voice the concerns of the student population, and seek a plausible solution as soon as possible.

Shugla Kakar| 1. Major/Year: Sophomore majoring in Biology and Health studies and a minor in Global studies. 2. Why I chose to run: I joined because I am very passionate about some of the issues that our campus is having such as establishing a diversity center, better food options and more parking. Also I ran because I wanted to represent my class and make them more aware of the decisions that their student government is making on their behalf.
Jenny Nguyen| 1. Major/Year: Biochemistry / Sophomore ‘19. 2. I chose to apply: As Student Assistant, I record minutes of the weekly ASUWB meetings, assist and support with many other ASUWB projects. I joined to learn more about what ASUWB does to represent the student body and to be more aware of the issues/concerns in our community.
